Food, Bricks, and Food

Big J's parents have a huge, wonderful garden in their backyard.  And when ever I head up to Pensacola for work, I always call ahead so they have a big bag of goodies ready for me to pick up.  And what was in the bag this week?  Canned tomatoes, peppers, tomatoes, and homemade pickles.  Minus the pickles - I knew what was going to be cooked for dinner.  Pasta:

Yum.  Yum.  And Yum is all I have to say about that.

This morning I had a killer triple brick on tap.  Thankfully Burk joined me for the party at 5:30am.  Burk has been doing triathlons for awhile and is going to be my partner in crime for Augusta.  The first brick was awesome, the 2nd was good and the third I thought I was in hell.  Literally.  Checking my Iphone when I got into the car, the temp said "92.  Feels like 104".  Awesome.  We really focused on hopping off of the bikes and running like we where racing.  So what do you do with your bikes in the middle of a parking lot?

Lock them to the car :)  But we both felt great and happy to put this workout on the books.

After the run through hell, I headed over to Seaside to meet a very good friend, Em, for brunch.  After brousing the farmers market to pick up some blueberries, we headed over to Raw and Juicy for some WONDERFUL food.  I settled for black beans and rice while Em was all over the greek food offered from the Greek food stand.  YUMMMM:

Needless to say it was a great day filled with amazing friends, great food, and a stellar workout.  All before noon.
