Ninja Brick

It was hot today during my long ass solo triple brick.  It was just me, my bike and my running shoes.  The only one to push me was myself.   Sometimes I think to myself - why do I do this?  Why to I put my body and mind through these long, hot training days?  And then I watch this - and it makes me feel better.

What motivates you when you feel like you just can not go on?  A biggie for me is picturing my family at the finish line at IMFL.  Just picturing the happiness and excitement on their faces will get me out of my pity party and rock out the rest of the workout.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

When I was training for IMCDA I would picture the last corner of the run where you turn left and then BAM! you see the finish line and the big street lined with tons of people (I had been there as a spectator before). That would get me through the long runs on the treadmill in the winter.

I'm not training right now, but when I think about getting back to running, I think about Michael and our daughter waiting for me at the finish line of my January marathon. Makes me tear up.

You are going to rock IM Chloe!

I LOVE this video. I watched it last night before going to bed to psych me up for my century today. It was 94 degrees. I melted, but was very happy.

How is the IMFL training coming? Everything on track?

I've been lurking for a while, and really enjoying reading about your training. I just did my first sprint and am eyeing up an Oly - people like you, training for the big one, are so motivating. Keep kicking ass out there.
