Never Never Never....

...give up!  I'm felling somewhat sentimental this morning - and wanted to share this photo:

Get out and do something!

Happy Monday!

Revvvvvvv 3!

So some exciting news came out on Monday - but lets backtrack a few months.  Jameson Bull (who just got married by the way) is always raving about this awesome team he is apart of.  So when he sent me an e-mail that they are accepting applications for their age grouper team - I was all over it.  And long story short - I was selected to be apart of the REV3 team!  I am SO excited to be apart of this crazy, fun, and awesome group of triathletes!

When you have some spare time - check out the Rev3 SITE and choose and awesome race to do in 2012 (and for all of you Florida people - SARASOTA!) and also check out the Team Facebook page!

Next year is going to rock.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Dear P90X

Dear P90X:
Even though our arms, abs, back, and legs are in pain - you will be the key to our off season sanity.  We will embrace you and make you love us.  Even though you make us cry, we will still come back for more.    And even though Tony says some of the cheesiest things, we will listen to what he has to say.  P90X, we will be best friends.
Love:  Chloe, Geoff and Craig

Off Season

Off season is always a tough time for me.  For the past four winters, I've trained and ran marathons (Florida+Winter=perfect marathon weather).  But I'm kind of burned out and trying something different.  My weapon of choice for this mission is P90X and swimming.  So far - so good.  Thankfully I have some pretty hard core training partners who kill it with me every night.  When I mean kill it - I mean trash talking and see who can do the most pushups.   I'll be sure to take some photos over the next few days to 'document' this experiment.  Has anyone tried p90x?  Thoughts?  Feelings?

Ironman Florida

So I know I disappeared for a few weeks - but I've been SUPER busy (work, wedding planning - fun stuff like that).   And right now I feel like I've been hit by a truck - not because I drank to much last night - but because I spent about 17 hours yesterday either riding on a motorcycle catching cheaters or ringing a cow bell.  Do you know why?  Because it was the best day of the year in Panama City Beach!  Ironman Florida!  What an AMAZING day.  So many records were smashed, PR's made and first timers became Ironmen.  I spent quality time with Heidi and Laura (as well as MomFL) and met some awesome people as well.  (thanks Laura for putting together such a great meet tweeter/blogger meet up!)

And the finish line last night was out of control - the energy was amazing and we danced our assess off cheering every single person on until midnight. (Laura and I also ended up with a microphone for a few minutes as well)  Doris (best raw food chef ever!) had John Flanagan as a home stay.  Don't know who he is?  Google him. He smashed the IMFL swim record yesterday - anyway John joined us at the finish line as well.  The day could not have gotten any better.

Until Sunday.

When I volunteered and ended up in the Kona slot tent.  I've never seen people so happy, full of energy and so excited (to give me their credit cards)   - and then the slot roll downs.  I could not wipe the smile off of my face all morning telling everyone congrats!   Wow.  I can't even put it into words :)

I know this is a random post - but if I went into detail, the post would be way to long for anyone to read!  If you EVER get the change to volunteer at a triathlon - DO!  It's well worth every second!
