This is how I feel right now:

Per the news...and the word on the street, the oil is moving away from our area. Thanks to the tide, currents, and wind the oil is actually pushing away from our perfect white beaches. I have yet to see any with my own eyes (and I would no doubt tell you and take pictures if I did). We're not going to totally write this oil issue off by any means, but any news is good news.
I had an excellent ride on Sunday with Coach Scott (tri coach) and Coach Chuck (swim coach). They are both amazing riders and I was SO happy to hold on to them for the two hour ride. Even when it was my turn to pull and the wind hitting me like a wall, I kept the speed about 20mph. When the boys pulled we kept around 22mph. So I was pretty excited about that. Sorry I don't give much draft boys...but at least I can hold my own!
Somehow my spare bag/back bottle holders broke in three places. So I took my bike to my local bike shop. Which I love. They are so nice and helpful. Not only did they replace the piece for free, but they gave the princess a bit of a cleaning. I was kind of embarrassed to bring her in - since it's been raining and gross here the past week. Rain + living by the beach = very sandy roads. I think Steve summed up the condition of my bike pretty good:
"My Chloe, the princess looks like she's been rode hard and put away wet"
I'm going to take that as a compliment :)
TDF: Holy cow! Is this Nascar or what? Crashes left and right. Cobble stones on right now, can't wait to see how this section turns out!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Yeah for good news! Hopefully it stays that way and the good news keeps on flowing.
Every Princess needs a little TLC from time to time. The ridden hard comment is for sure a compliment! :-) Nice work on the ride!
Today should be fun. Hope the Lanster gets through without crashing..
I'm loving the tour right now. Last year it was just too boring.
is it bad that i FFWD until there are crashes.... hahahha oops. yesterday was nutz! glad the princess is all cleaned up :)
I would also be doing cartwheels in celebration!
I'm with you...I am happy when I can keep up with the boys. SOME day I'll be able to play a good leader too.
So great about the oil moving away! Your ride sounds like it was great.
Good news on the beach.
I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "if mamma ain't happy, ain't no one happy." Better take care of Princess - give her all the lovin you can. God forbid she decides to revolt on you in the middle of a race or something!
