Wal-Mart

So. I woke up this morning - got in a great run. Came back to Jason's and decided to go to...ummm...wal-mart. This was a bad decision for 2 reasons. #1 I had missed my 6am to 7am 'ok to go to wal-mart' window and #2 it's tourists season. Ugh. So I go to Wal-mart to get stuff together for my girlfriends goodie bags who are going to be here on Thursday!! My best girlfriends from KC will be here on Thursday for LeeAnn's bachlorette party. Bachlorette party on the beach? Could it get any better?

Anyway - back to Wal-Mart. So the Wal-mart in Panama City Beach has it's own air brush station. Yes. It's true. And a huge section full of tourist crap (aka - shot glasses and snow globes that say PCB on it. If you ever come to PCB - let me know and I'll give you the 'non-crap' tourist places) So the place was FULL of tourists smelling like pina-coladas, talking on their cell phones and sitting in the middle of the isle with their carts full of coke, Doritos, and skim boards. I'm not going to lie - I almost had and anxiety attack. AND more then one person was asking me where things are. Are you kidding me? I'm dressed in my running clothes. Do I look like I work here?

Ugh. Made it out of there with out breaking out into hives.

I will not go to wal-mart outside of my window ever again!

So there is my rant about Wal-mart on Front Beach Road in PCB. Please note that I do not hate tourists by any means - but come on. Hang up your cell phone or at least move to the side!! :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I know EXACTLY the Walmart you speak of - it takes trash to an all new level. I'm gonna gets me one of dem air brushed shirts one of deez dayz! I bought all my IMFL stock there. During race week, that place is hilarious - huge run on water and bananas.

Walmart. ARgh. You couldn't pay me to go to Walmart. The reason you were being asked where stuff was is because people could see the light of intelligence in your eyes. Being literate will do that to you. What is an air brush station?

How dare you speak ill of the PCB walmart? It saved my life before IMLF 06.

If it weren't for the $2.00 PCB Sweatshirts, I would have perished on the bike. And I went to Florida for the Sun and Warm temps.

A bachlorette party on the beach sounds like a good time! Wal-marts are crazy and you do have to plan your trip times.

I lived in Virgnina Beach for a year and I can definitly say I HATE TOURISTS. I don't know how you deal with it.

Everybody's got a walmart story or two don't they. I remember when I was working on a cruise ship in Hawaii - guess where passengers wanted to go. You guessed it: wal mart. WTF? Seriously people, your in flippin paradise and you willingly go to hell? They actaully had shuttles from the ship. WTF?

Thanks for your kind words on my last post. Your so right.

Hey Chloe! Just wanted to stop by and say 'hello' AND thank you for your words of encouragement in regards to my recent blog post. I've been having hydration issues since day 1 of training more than 1.5 years ago now. I find it difficult to even fathom the amount of liquid I truly need to consume to stay hydrated... I sweat THAT much! It's crazy! Anyway, I'm going to stay confident that I WILL get it right with time and practice!

Well, off to explore the rest of your blog!!! I love following FL bloggers!!! :o)

I'm not gonna lie, I barely made it past the sir brush station part I was laughing so hard.

Hopefully next time you can make your window-if not, I highly recommend Target as a safer alternative. I've never seen a rooster at Target (LOL, TRI-James).

Haha! Walmart is definitely anxiety-inducing but also a little entertaining. Thanks for sharing. :D

I don't even want to *think* about the guy chasing the rooster. But. I'm hoping he only wanted to eat it. I have to drive by a Walmart to exit from the parking lot of a convenient hardware store. Sigh.

more shocking that WalMart has an air brush station is that its open at 6AM, WHAT!

I really hope this isn't what Vancouver is like during the Olympics. I'm super pumped for them, however, at the same time really worried about the crowd
