Off Season

Off season is always a tough time for me.  For the past four winters, I've trained and ran marathons (Florida+Winter=perfect marathon weather).  But I'm kind of burned out and trying something different.  My weapon of choice for this mission is P90X and swimming.  So far - so good.  Thankfully I have some pretty hard core training partners who kill it with me every night.  When I mean kill it - I mean trash talking and see who can do the most pushups.   I'll be sure to take some photos over the next few days to 'document' this experiment.  Has anyone tried p90x?  Thoughts?  Feelings?

Great minds think and train alike. Someone gave me p90x and i have done some of the workouts sporadically while i was training for IMFL but couldn't wait to REALLY give it a go after I have fully recovered. I plan on incorporating it into my schedule starting next week. I love the Ab Ripper X a lot! Have fun with it and do you before, during and after pics.

Love p90x! Although right now I'm struggling to follow the program. But maybe you've just motivated me. Please keep us posted!

I've wanted to try it, but I just don't think I can adjust my eating so much. The workouts? Tough, but yes. The food? Eh, probably not. Good luck in whatever you decide.

I haven't done the P90x but I am curious to see how it would work for me. Good luck!

Lots of people have done really well on P90X, but I've never tried it. One day I will, but I wanted to get done with Ironman first. The principles behind the workouts are really the same as Crossfit, but I like the structure of P90X as well as the fact that you don't have to go to a hot box to get your workout in. That one legged guy makes you feel bad about yourself, doesn't he? Too funny.
